研究方向

SEME Lab 聚焦于自我与生命意义感的核心科学问题，强调跨学科与多方法整合。我们采用实验室与田野实验、大数据分析、叙事分析、计算建模、问卷调查与干预研究等方法，主要研究方向包括：

• 意义建构与审美体验

Postdoctoral Research Opportunities at SEME Lab, School of Psychological and Cognitive Sciences, Peking University

The SEME Lab at the School of Psychological and Cognitive Sciences, Peking University, is seeking 1–2 highly motivated postdoctoral researchers to join our interdisciplinary team.

Research Areas

Our lab is dedicated to advancing the scientific understanding of self and meaning in life through rigorous and interdisciplinary research. We employ a wide range of methods, including laboratory and field experiments, big data analytics, narrative and computational modeling, surveys, and intervention studies. Current research themes include:

• Self-continuity and identity development
• Meaning-making and aesthetic experience
• Complex emotions and well-being
• Consumer behavior and mental health

By integrating insights from psychology, marketing, philosophy, and sociology, SEME Lab seeks to explore how individuals pursue meaningful lives in a rapidly changing world, bridging the richness of subjective human experience with empirical precision.

Position Description

Research focus:

• Behavioral science, particularly social psychology, marketing, and decision-making
• Meaningful consumption — investigating how consumer behaviors serve as everyday interventions to help individuals manage memory, construct identity, and enhance mental health and meaning in life

Eligibility

• Ph.D. obtained within the past three years (domestic or international)
• Research background in behavioral science or related fields
• Strong interest in interdisciplinary collaboration and independent research capability
